Personal Activities High Needs
As a provider under NDIS we understand that everyone’s needs, preferences and aspirations are different. If you are a person with a disability and you meet the access requirements you can become a participant in the scheme.
As a participant, you will be able to access the NDIS individualised planning processes to identify the reasonable and necessary supports you need to enable you to achieve your goals. To get an idea about whether you meet the access requirements visit the NDIS website and view the am I eligible page. Here, there is an NDIS checklist you can read to see if you are eligible. If you meet the criteria and you would like to become a participant, you can either:
- call the NDIS on 1800 800 110 and ask to make an Access Request
- complete and submit the Access Request Form and email it to NDIS or
- contact your local LAC or NDIA office and ask to make an Access Request.
NDIS Rates
All NDIS service delivery rates are set by the NDIS as per the ‘NDIS Price Guides and Pricing’ and may change during your plan duration if a revised Price Guide is issued. As a participant of the NDIS you will receive any notifications regarding Price Guide changes via the NDIS directly. Any rate updates will be implemented automatically by Absolute In Home Care.
Prices are subject to change and will be updated accordingly as per the official NDIS Price Guide and are based on TTP rates

Establishment fee for personal care/community access
This fee applies to all plans for new and transitioning NDIS participants who receive at least 20 hours of personal care/community access support per month, for three consecutive months. This payment is to cover providers establishing arrangements and assisting participants in implementing their plan.
The establishment fee will operate as follows:
- a one-off maximum amount is included in a participant’s plan of $750;
- providers can charge $500 against a plan if assisting a new participant, who is new to NDIS and new to the provider;
- providers can charge $250 when they are maintaining an existing client of theirs who is commencing as a participant of the NDIS;
- Should a participant wish to change providers, $250 is available to the new provider from the balance of the establishment fee. This is to assist the participant in changing providers.
Temporary Transformation Payment (TTP)
The NDIA has introduced a Temporary Transformation Payment (TTP) for providers to assist with the ever-changing challenges and cost of providing services under the NDIS. These costs have been extensive, including employing additional office staff, implementing a completely new database to manage the NDIS, additional NDIS specific training of field staff and an extensive auditing process. Some of these things have already happened and some are still in process or will be ongoing.
Further information about the TTP can be found at:

Travel
Kilometres accrued are an out of pocket expense charged to the participant directly at 80 cents per kilometre. This may be paid from your transport allowance or your own personal funds.
